Look for his Sweet Chili Salmon in our products starting in November! About Chef Ryan Ryan Covert grew up in Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Ryan’s culinary journey began at the early age of 15 when he began working as line chef at the Proud Peacock restaurant. His talents and passion for cuisine inspired him to graduated early from Kuhuku High to pursue his career in the Culinary Industry. After completing his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts Ryan returned to Hawaii where he has held several positions within the industry including Director of Restaurants at the Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel (2002-2005), followed by the Private Chef of the “FIGHTING IRISH”; a privately owned yacht that sailed around the world (2006-2007) with exclusive guests. In 2007, Ryan Covert opened his private chef company on Oahu called Covert Affairs LLC. His company specializes in creating unique, memorable and delicious dinning occasions for both locals and visitors alike.
