October 15th, 2014 – Diamond Bakery and Zippy’s Restaurants announced that on Saturday October 25th they will partner to provide Zippy’s dine-in guests the opportunity to try Diamond Bakery’s brand new line of soda cracker flavors – furikake, sweet chili, and cinnamon toast. “This month we are celebrating 93 years of sharing heartwarming Aloha,” said Brent Kunimoto , President of Diamond Bakery Company, Ltd. “We are excited to share our great-tasting new soda crackers during the free sampling with long-time partner, Zippy’s.” Diamond Bakery is eager to learn what Zippy’s guests think of the new flavors. Eight random winners who fill out a brief survey will receive gift cards from Diamond Bakery and partners including Zippy’s and Hilo Hattie. “We thought it was a fun idea,” said Jeanine Mamiya-Kalahiki, Marketing Manager of Zippy’s Restaurants. “Everyone knows about our famous Chili, what they may not know is the soda crackers offered with it are from Diamond Bakery.” All dine-in customers at Zippy’s 19 dine-in locations statewide will be offered a sample pack of the new soda crackers to share while supplies last. Diamond Bakery hopes people can taste the aloha baked into every crunchy bite. The crackers are available at selected retailers now, and the statewide launch for the new flavors is scheduled for 11/3.
