January, 2016 – Diamond Bakery is pleased to announce that after two years of vigorous testing that they are launching four exciting Hawaiian Shortbread Cookies – original, chocolate chip, kona coffee, and coconut.

“This year we are celebrating 95 years in business,” said Gary Yoshioka, President of Diamond Bakery Company, Ltd. “After much anticipation and customer interest we are incredibly excited to share our newest all 100% Made-In-Hawaii Hawaiian Cookies with the public.”

Diamond Bakery has been working on a Shortbread Cookie recipe for two years “We take our cookies very seriously” said Yoshioka “Until they are absolutely perfect we won’t do a statewide launch, we owe it to our dedicated customers to provide a product that is superior in every way.”

The brand is over 90 years old but still innovating. Through consumer testing and lots of sharing we developed these unique flavors from the islands. “We brought back our master baker to help us craft a Shortbread Cookie that is light, flaky and of course buttery” said Yoshioka.

The products will be available first at KTA, Foodland, Don Quijote, Times and Kmart the week of 1/25. The second rollout will begin in February with Longs/CVS and Food Pantry with a final rollout to Walmart, Target, Safeway, and other tourist destinations later in Q1. “The cookies are of course a super sweet gift for Valentines Day and we promise everyone in your Ohana will simply love’um!” said Yoshioka.
