January 2015 – Diamond Bakery announced today that they will once again partner with Shriners Hospitals for Children® to help Hawaii’s keiki. “Last year we held a wildly successful Kendama challenge,” said Brent Kunimoto, President of Diamond Bakery Company, Ltd. “This year we decided to focus on sharing heartwarming aloha by creating a “Crunch for Love” cracker song with the Shriners team, and a contest in which the community is invited to sing along with us to raise money for the hospital.” For inspiration, the first part of the “Crunch for Love” video will be posted online February 9, 2015 with the lyrics to the Cracker Song. To encourage people to share the video, Diamond Bakery will donate $2.00 to Shriners Hospital every time the video is shared. To win the contest, fans can either video themselves singing along with the provided lyrics, or they are welcome to improvise and create their own cracker verses. The more videos the better! Diamond Bakery will donate $10 to Shriners for every sing-along video uploaded to Diamond Bakery’s Facebook page from February 14th through March 22nd. Anybody who records a video is encouraged to get their families and friends to vote for it. For each vote, Diamond Bakery will donate an additional $1.00. Not only will the five videos with the most votes win prizes ($100 shopping spree each on DiamondBakery.com), so will the keiki Shriners serves. “We are thrilled to once again partner with Diamond Bakery,” said Mahealani Richardson, Director of Public Relations for Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu. This “Crunch For Love” campaign supports Love to the rescue® (www.lovetotherescue.org) our national campaign showing how Love gives a child hope, restores their confidence and allows them to pursue their dreams without limits. We hope the community will rally behind us once again and sing for our patients.” The first 30 contest entries will also receive a gift set valued at $30. To learn more, visit DiamondBakery.com.
